Here's one I found the other day, in a town on the Alaska highway. A 68 Firebird 400 Convertible. No one answered the door, but you could see trash all through the house. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c1...400convert.jpg [/ QUOTE ] Which end of the highway? That way I'm not looking at both sides of a 2000 mile road. |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
These are a few that we have around here.
First is a Buick that has been removed from it's resting place. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ingcars001.jpg This is where it was for atleast 20yrs totally covered with vines and such. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...ingcars002.jpg Kendall |
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Next is a good hiding spot for atleast 3 cars. The left stall has a 39-40 Buick(you can see the headlight between the two trees). The center stall has whats left of a late model body. And the right stall has a 86 Buick GN with 2000mi on a new hi-po motor.

Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Next is a 66-67 Chevelle behind a house been like this for atleast 5yrs.One day I went by and their black lab was lying on the roof of it.

Honestly, if that was sitting out in front of my house, I'd call to have that POS towed away...
|
Re: ROTTING MUSCLECARS
Don't they have any city codes to inforce? If that thing sat on a city street here for more than a week, it would get ticketed, at 30 days, towed. Impound fees after a week would make you think twice about reclaiming it, and waiting for it to go to the impound annual auction, foggeddaboutit.

pulling dads 69 Impala SS 427 out of storage

Garnet Red, parchment interior, auto, consoule, 8 track. original motor/trans came with car. will be restored to stock specs there were 4 sheds where this car was stored. each shed was around 100 yards in length. i would estimate 30 or so cars on each side of the shed totaling 60 or so cars per shed. the storage owner didnt want us snooping around, however when the owner went back to the house 3 of us sprinted to the back of the shed and power walked looking at all the cars that had been there in "long term" storage. everything in there was older than 1975, it was an amazing power walk! |
Re: pulling dads 69 Impala SS 427 out of storage
WOW!! Great story - Good job tracking it down -

69 Pontiac 2+2
One of 10 Canadian built Pontiac 2+2's with the 390hp 427/4 speed combos. One owner car with 31000 original miles. Unfortunately the car sat on a dirt floor in a damp garage for years. The undercarriage is pretty rusty as is the engine compartment. Interior full of mold etc. Still can be saved..
