This may be the best resurrection of a car I've ever followed. I see "hits" fixed and rebuilt frequently, but a '69 Chevelle rebuilt piece by piece. As Dan has stated many times throughout this entire voyage...."INTEGRITY". Very impressive to say the least. And I don't recall seeing Eric wearing gloves in any of the progress photos. He must have hands like a cstcher's mitt!!!
Great work and keep us "POSTED" on any updates.

The blaster will not touch the quarters, new floor, or roof.
All other areas will be hit with a fine sand that is just enough to clean and slightly etch.

Had the body blasted of the minor surface rust and remaining paint.

Before blasting, with tape to tell them what and where to blast.

We spent Saturday touching up some of the spots that showed up after sandblasting the body, and then completely sanded everything the blaster hit to knock off the roughness.
Eric body-worked the 4 roof seams, then Sunday I moved the car outside to de-sand the bodyshell. I got a bunch of sand out of the rockers, and it seemed like the stream would never end.

Here are a couple short videos to show the early stage of where it had &quot;been&quot;, and after today's clean-up.

I sure hope I'm not famous Ryan, as Eric and the car are the true stars of this show.

Far as hours spent, I could figure it out, but to give an idea, average 10 hours every Saturday since around mid-October to come up with that total, plus my set-up and prep time before each Saturday.

We are going to put on the Epoxy primer Tuesday evening, then the main finish bodywork gets underway.

I really need to find a good SS hood soon as, the hood we were going to use came back from the blaster with a bunch of pinholes on the underside. Could all be fixed, but..............
