Re: News from the Auction front.
Bob,
You can send me some NOS Chevelle parts to autograph but I can't guarantee they will return. |
Re: News from the Auction front.
They must have skipped the Deuce, I didn't see it and I was waiting for it right after the Chevelle. Can't find it in the post sale lot either.

How about the LS6 Chevelles, have they sold? how much?

Re: News from the Auction front.
I walked through most of the cars today out in the field below the auction tent. The '67 Yenko Camaro has a no reserve sign on it. Future Classics has a White Chevelle L-78 that will be going across. Most of the LS-6 Chevelles that I saw were going through on Sunday. I do have some pictures that I will try to post tomorrow. I have a pic of the L-78 Chevelles build sheet. A nice unrestored Lemans Blue Z-28 went for $32 or so. I was surprised at the two GT-40s that went across and neither one broke $400K. If anyone is interested in the pics before I get them posted, send me an e-mail, and I will forward them on.

Re: News from the Auction front.
Reggie News--His '70 YENKO NOVA went for either $47,000 or $48,000 (the paint was bad and it had bucket seats). When he got BOO'D because of the ZL-1 reserve of $330,000 he said it didn't bother him because he's been boo'd before!! Gary Holub went up to him and asked him what his reserve was and when he said $330,000 Gary just walked away. Reggie was NOT too happy and he just didn't seem to care. More news the Boss 429 (The LAWMAN) would NOT START!!! It went for $120,000. Over at Russo-Steele Auction -- Ole RED ALERT was a No Sale-the bidding got up to either $80,000 or $90,000--when they drove it into the auction area poeple started Clapping it sounded great!! The (26 MILE) LS-6 was up to $245,000 and the owner Did Not Sale. Also at the end of Barrett-Jackson the '68 YENKO Camaro (blue) was RUSHED thru and the Auctioneer brought the hammer down at $98,000 and some people were still bidding on it and the Owner was Mad...Sorry can't remember some of the exact figures on a couple of the cars. Had a Great Time, now have to go back home to tempertures in the single degits--COLD!!! Mark
