Maybe the person that was in charge of that list could chime in and answer the reasoning why there is a discrepancy.

The actual vin ...last 6 digits are 247797... I provided the corrected information and documentation to Bergy last week and he is going to update the site. I have a theory but do not wish to share it publicly.

I would guess the inventory sheet was incorrect or hard to read. Or is xxx971 actually a yenko vin# ?

Copo_Cartel 07-03-2018 01:13 AM

I cannot answer that question....I would defer that question to JoeC ...

Doug, Thanks for the information on the car. I will have to do some research on it.

It is a great 67 Yenko with the dash trim tag and all the factory options plus all the work Yenko did to it.

also interesting that is has the Yenko crest emblems like used on the 1968 Yenko Camaros

Here's an Oct '67 Newspaper Ad as OO statement above also jives exactly w/ info noted earlier about cars waiting unconverted for later builds w/ 396 or 427's to suit customer orders.
Being the 06/67 build subject car sold 03/68, it and the Blue TurboStick in this 10/67 Newspaper Ad could be one and the same?:hmmm:

Yenko used some creative names for the TH400 1967 Yenko Camaros

in this ad it was a "Turbo-Stick"

in another ad "Yenko Special "Super GT Hydro" "

in another ad "Turbo Hydra-matic Transmission"

Doug ,
Does your car have the 1967 type mono leaf rear springs or 1968 muti leaf type rear springs ?

The paperwork shows a spring change and charge for new springs.

Original spare and the 68 SS hood which you can see the Corvette Bronze underneath. Stamp date is present and falls in line with the YS8002 prototype car which makes sense since it received the fiberglass Yenko hood. Brazing done to fill hood pin holes.
